Valentine's Day Series: Whiten Teeth for a Brilliant Smile

by Aeryn Lynne

Have you been looking for best / easiest /cost-effective way to brighten your smile?  After years of drinking diet cokes and french vanilla cappuccinos, I am concerned about my smile.  When the drug store teeth-whitening stickers were finally on the shelves I would dare say I was one of the first to shell out $50 for a box.  And eager to try, I got home and put those little suckers on.

Except, after trying it out for three days straight, my teeth didn't look any whiter, and worse yet, it irritated my gums for a good two weeks.

After that I've tried mouthwashes and toothpastes, all touting the same teeth-whitening action, but alas, all it did was irritate my mouth.

Just last month, after taking the millionth Christmas picture for 2012, I came to the decision that in early January I'll make an appointment with my dentist to talk about whitening up my smile.  It's not that my teeth are super-yellow (the Hubs calls the colour "natural", lol,) but for me, I see room for improvement.

As fate will have it, just as January rolled in, Smile Brilliant! agreed to let me test out their LED teeth whitening system.

Its so simple to use, there's a reason why its called, "Brilliantly Simple Package: LED Whitening + Whitening Pen".
Smile Brilliant! Simple LED teeth whitening system

Contents:

  • High intensity Ultra-Blue LED activating light (batteries included)
  • Protective trays (top & bottom)
  • 4ml Professional whitening gel pen (35% concentration)
  • 30 Day money back guarantee
  • Life-time tray replacement warranty

Thanks to a three-week flu, I haven't been able to test it out thoroughly before today, BUT after just three days of using this I'm noticing results!

And?  I'm not feeling that same irritation that I got with similar products. WOOT!  If I did feel irritation though, the instructions say that I can decrease my use from everyday to every other day.  I have a feeling that this system is relaxed enough that I can use it whenever I feel the need.

This also means I don't need to spend extra funds at the dentist to get similar results.  LOVE IT!

How it works:  You need 30 mins to 2 hours of sitting around time, but only 20 - 45 mins with the blue LED box sitting in your mouth (you don't need the LED lighting shining on your teeth during the entire treatment.)   That means I can get through a book or some emails while getting my teeth whitened.  Or even blog posts.  If my webcam was on right now, you'd probably laugh at the site of the blue glow (I am not instagraming the pic I have, you can't make me! ...  Ahem...)

The clear plastic mold is really soft and flexible, so it easily fits around your teeth without feeling uncomfortable while doing so, and the silver pen has a brush as a tip for easy distribution of the bleaching compound.

And for those who've tried the drugstore stickers, there's no messing around to try to keep the stuff on your teeth instead of around your gums.
