I’ll admit, I may have had the tendency to roll my eyes at those Casino Rama commercials where everyone would get absolutely excited over the slightest hint of going to Rama and tag along. Now? I would totally be one of those tag alongs. I get it now. As part of the #LetsGoRama retreat, I got the chance to witness Casino Rama, and the people behind this resort, and how they make ordinary feel like all kinds of extra. If you’ve followed the hashtag at all, you’ll continually hear my fellow influencers and bloggers discuss how spoiled we were. We were. We were treated like two princes and a whole bunch of princesses, and I can’t think of a moment where someone didn’t have a smile on their face the entire time. If someone wore a t-shirt right now stating, “Let’s go to Rama!” my bag would be packed and ready to go in under 60 seconds. There have been numerous moments over the past two weeks since, where I’ve wondered, when can I go back?

Let’s Start with Casino Rama’s Hotel Suites

Casino Rama Suite - Two Queen Beds
Spacious luxury in every room! My roomie and I had ample space to sit and relax without being in each other’s laps.

Have you ever wanted to stay in a suite with a fireplace, and living room space? The Casino Rama Resort has it all for you. The bathroom is this gorgeous, ample space that takes up the full length of one wall, all with a separate bath and shower to boot!

Casino Rama Suite - bathroom toiletries
Casino Rama has a great selection of toiletries and are happy to help provide most items that you may have forgot to pack.

The only thing that I wish the room had more of are outlets near the night stand, but that may have been just because my roomie and I are super techie with our smartphones. I usually bring a power outlet with me for all my tech, but didn’t think to do so this time around. #TotesMyBad

We didn’t fight over outlets (we got one each, and happily lived without a lamp and alarm clock for our stay,) but I was left figuring out a schedule for the one plug and four bits of tech that I wanted to use it for. I think I generally have this wish for every hotel I ever stay at though and just need to remember to bring an outlet bar.

OMG, the Food!

The food! The FOOD! Oh my gosh, there was so much fooooooood!  My Instagram nearly turned into a foodiegram.

I’m not even kidding…

Hungry yet? That’s just a few of all the food pics I took and shared on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. There are 8 restaurants to choose from at Casino Rama… I think we tried four of them, including the Simcoe Yard House, and St. Germain’s Steakhouse. I can’t wait to go back and try the rest!

So much yummy food at Casino Rama. If you're a foodie, there are numerous delish plates to go try at all 8 restaurants.

The Entertainment

I knew that Casino Rama had a concert/entertainment venue, but I had no idea how many top gigs have actually played here!  Not just music is played in this room, a number of sports, even curling, have held tournaments within these walls.

Our tour group of the Concert hall was surprised to see the actual layout and the sound-proofing design used to keep the music in (since its right beside the casino.) There isn't a "bad" seat in this house!

The People

This post? It’s very nearly an ode to the wonderful staff at Casino Rama. I’ve never seen so many people who obviously love their job all at one place (and I’ve been to Google HQ in Toronto before.)

If you’ve been looking for a new career, someplace where you would feel happy to spend a good portion of your day, maybe check out whether there are any openings at Casino Rama. Every single employee I met had pride in their work, and it shone brilliantly.

Here’s a Gambling Tip From an Absolute Beginner

Apparently, in my completely beginner-expert opinon, the best tables to try to win would be the Roulette. While you’re not about to win thousands of dollars all at once, without laying down some serious cash for each bet (like $50 for instance,) it perhaps has the best odds of walking away with more than what you came with.

What’s your lucky number? When in doubt at a casino, find a roulette table.

Just remember to play within your limit and have fun!

The Retreat

I feel very blessed to have been invited to the #LetsGoRama retreat. I love that I got to meet up with friends that I haven’t seen in ages. Got to learn some new tips on blogging, and more so was inspired to do better at what I do now. Met some great businesses that I would love dearly to work with in the future, and had a moment to view our blogging world from their side of the fence. And, I got to relax. Wow. I had no idea how much that was a thing I needed in my life, until I stepped foot into the resort.

If anyone deserved a moment to relax, it was these three fabulous ladies who pulled off such an incredible blogger retreat! So many thanks to Stacey, Julie and Kristen for a much loved experience.

And big heart thanks to the sponsors, Chicken Farmers of Canada, Giant Tiger, and Fujifilm that helped make this event special, and inspired us to improve.

Meeting up with friends that I hardly get to see is something to treasure…

Have you visited Casino Rama Resort before? They have so many great live gigs to attend right now, including Russel Peters (I haven’t seen his show live since way back when he was just getting started. Jay and I saw him at Yuk Yuks once, and he entitled us “Hats ‘n Skirts” for our heritages, lol. Love that dude.), Tears for Fears, Howie Mandel and Brett Michaels!
