It’s amazing what a set of numbers can do!

For numerologists, our entire being is based in number patterns, and landing the #11 is highly auspicious. It, along with the number 22 are known as Master numbers. I checked my family’s birthdays to see if anyone came out as an 11, and I was kinda intrigued with the results. Me and my DH are 7 and 8 respectively, my brother and DH’s brother are both 11s.

O.o

In Numerology 11 is the most intuitive of all numbers. It represents illumination; a channel to the subconscious; insight without rational thought; and sensitivity, nervous energy, shyness, and impracticality. It is a dreamer.

If you’d like to find out if you’re a Master, you can find out your number and what it means, here.

In biblical numerology, the number 11 actually pertains to disorder and chaos, which is what led to the movie…

11-11-11 A horror-thriller that will be released in theaters on 11/11/11.
“After the death of his wife and child, an author travels to Barcelona to see his estranged brother and dying father, where he learns that his life is plagued by events that occur on 11/11/11.”

Nerd’s Have Another Theory

1s and 0s of SwitchesComputer technology in the most base sense relies on only two numbers. Or states. 1s and 0s. This is known as binary code, and is the most elementary factor for anything electric. 1s mean ON, and thus 0s mean Off. You might actually be familiar with seeing a 1 and 0 on either side of a switch (as shown on the left pic). If you were never sure up until this point, the 1 is for the On state, and the 0 for Off.

So when you have 11/11/11, you’re day is TOTALLY ON (did you catch the bad joke?). And because most geeks sleep in until noon (’cause we’re usually up until 5AM), 11:11PM is apparently our “New Year” tomorrow according to a group of hackers in Redwood City, CA (aka Silicone Valley).

I’ve looked for similar #NerdNewYear events for Toronto tomorrow, ’cause dude, I’m celebrating! But sadly, all I found was an intimate lunch amongst friends (it’s awesome what you can find online!)

11/11/11 won’t happen for another century, so it’s time to get your party ON tomorrow. (See? Another bad pun!)

Of course it’s also Remembrance Day in Canada tomorrow (I believe it’s called Veteran’s Day in the US), but that’s for tomorrow’s blog post.

Thursday, November 11, 2011 is still a busy day for me. In the morning I’ll be shopping, at 12 I’ll be in a twitter party, and then I’ll be collecting a bunch of samples and great deals at the National Women’s Show.

I have such a tough job. 😉
