The House With a Clock in its Walls Blu-ray DVD
Tis the season to enter every giveaway!
Here is one to win a bit of fun enchanting entertainment for the season. If you’re staying indoors this New Year’s Eve, this timely movie just might be the ticket for your countdown!
The House With a Clock in its Walls
Jack Black is the quirky Uncle Jonathan for orphaned Lewis Barnavelt (Owen Vaccaro), whom he now lives with after recently losing his parents. Barnavelt doesn’t know what to make of this eccentric uncle, nor their always-visiting neighbour Florence Zimmerman (Cate Blanchett), but soon thrived in their brand of crazy. Then he had to go and accidentally raise the dead… Oops!
I was a bit worried that 8-year-old Kit would be scared of this movie. Some online sites have this listed as both horror and family friendly, and I never imagined the two could meet.
Kit truly loved it though. Was riveted with this compelling story of embracing family eccentricities and magic, right from beginning to end!
The story was fun, and the graphics awe-worthy. If the walls of Hogwarts thrilled you, you’ll want to watch The House With a Clock in its Walls for the set design alone.
