There are many reasons why we love Toronto, and one of the biggest reasons needs your support right now. The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation is back with their exciting Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Home Lottery! They're holding a Twitter party on February 17th, along with a Periscope chat, to showcase how their advancement in cancer research is changing our worldview in biology and why they need your support to continue being the superheroes they are.

I can't believe it's nearly been three years since I recieved this incredible note by email...

The new drug (CFI-40095) developed by the team led by Drs. Tak Mak of The Campbell Family Cancer Research Institute at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and Dennis Slamon of the University of California, Los Angeles, two of the world’s most acclaimed cancer researchers, has been approved by Health Canada to proceed to Phase 1 clinical trial in Canada. In the lab, the drug has been shown to inhibit the growth of human breast and ovarian cancers as well as colorectal, glioblastoma, lung, melanoma, pancreatic and prostate cancers." ~ Princess Maragaret Cancer Foundation

It's entirely heartwarming to know that the funds directed to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation are making significant headway on deadly illnesses that can effect each and every one of us, globally.
