There are many reasons why we love Toronto, and one of the biggest reasons needs your support right now. The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation is back with their exciting Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Home Lottery! They’re holding a Twitter party on February 17th, along with a Periscope chat, to showcase how their advancement in cancer research is changing our worldview in biology and why they need your support to continue being the superheroes they are.
I can’t believe it’s nearly been three years since I recieved this incredible note by email…
The new drug (CFI-40095) developed by the team led by Drs. Tak Mak of The Campbell Family Cancer Research Institute at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and Dennis Slamon of the University of California, Los Angeles, two of the world’s most acclaimed cancer researchers, has been approved by Health Canada to proceed to Phase 1 clinical trial in Canada. In the lab, the drug has been shown to inhibit the growth of human breast and ovarian cancers as well as colorectal, glioblastoma, lung, melanoma, pancreatic and prostate cancers.” ~ Princess Maragaret Cancer Foundation
It’s entirely heartwarming to know that the funds directed to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation are making significant headway on deadly illnesses that can effect each and every one of us, globally.
Despite their breakthroughs in cancer research, this team still needs your help to give cancer a permanent kick in the butt, and to do just that, they want you to have multiple chances at something truly fabulous in return.

This is a great cause to support! I do try to support the hospitals in T.O. as much as I can because most of my family lives there, and these hospitals need support. I will also try to attend this Twitter party this evening! Thanks for the head’s up about it!

Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is world-renowned and it’s no wonder why. Very interesting about the drug that is in clinical trials! Had not heard about this until now. Numerous family members of mine have been treated at this cancer centre and received nothing but top-notch care. Thanks for sharing – the Twitter party looks fun!
