Hey Canadian Parents out there! Do I have a contest for YOU!
Imagine your kid, the next Claude Giroux, strapping up their laces beside their teammates for what will be the best day of their hockey career so far! (And heck, they are the next Claude Giroux, right? So there will be TONS of amazing days in hockey for their career yet to come! But in the meantime…)
Scotiabank and CBC have teamed up to send one lucky minor hockey team (ages 7-14) to win a trip to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island to participate in Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada on February 11, 2012. All you have to do is pledge to save for their hockey expenses, which is an incredible value for any person to learn!
Your little Claude (which could be short for Claudia), will be schmoozing with the big leaguers all day long.
Last year Scotiabank and CBC sent a team to Whitehorse and those kids had an absolute blast. A ton of hockey celebrities attended and the team received a lot of exposure, while playing a local team and meeting and greeting hockey legends. They were also featured on CBC’s broadcast throughout the day.
How freakin' cool is that?? One team in Canada will be selected to win this year, so why can't it be yours?? Enter now, 'cause this contest closes on November 30th, 2011!
- Grand Prize includes:
- Where applicable, round trip economy airfare for the Team departing from the Canadian international airport nearest the winning Teams residence (as determined by CBC) to Charlottetown.
- Three night’s standard hotel accommodation (double occupancy) in Charlottetown.
- Ground transportation to and from the Hockey Day in Canada events.
- All Team meals while in Charlottetown.
- Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is ($45,000 CDN).

Please be advised that although I do accept work ('cause I need to make a living,) and discuss the results of that work on this blog, I am in no way offering you, my valuable readers, lemons… unless it'll be used for drinking. Bottom line: if I don't believe in it, you won't see it here.
