Have you seen the trailer yet for Walt Disney Studio’s Into the Woods movie musical? With an incredible cast, including Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt and Chris Pine, how can it not be full on awesome?? This movie is based on the old adage, “be careful for what you wish for,” and weaves four of the Brothers Grimm more popular fairy tales for one exciting trip across wishful thinking.

And it’s not only the stellar cast in front of the cameras that are sure to entrance the audience, but with powerhouses like Rob Marshall (acclaimed filmmaker behind the Academy Award(r)-winning “Chicago”, and not surprisingly the legendary composer Stephen Sondheim, movie goers are definitely in for a treat, beginning this December 25th!

This movie is based on Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s Into the Woods musical that had first debuted in San Diego, back in 1986 and has had an incredible run and a multitude of successful revivals ever since. (In fact, the more adult play can be seen around the globe today, and continues to thrive into next year.)

The Disney adaptation is meant to be kid-friendly, and am curious to see how it differs from what I’ve read of the original play…

Make a wish….
