Happy Friday the 13th! I’ve been reminded of the fact of how lucky today is by stubbing my toe, not once, but thrice. Ow. Enough about oh so sore tootsies though, I’ve got a beauty bag to share with you! Also? Remember the KISS InstaWave I mentioned on my New Year’s Eve Glam post? Well, I managed to take some pics this time to show you just how easy this hair curler really is! Check out my hair skillz, and these fab bits of colour that have become my must haves this month (and particularly for tomorrow night!)
Valentine’s Day Beauty Bag
The cute little handbag came from Target… it *might* still be available on the ever disappearing shelves, but it won’t be for long at 30% off! I had to bring it home the moment I saw it. And if you haven’t noticed yet, I’m trying something new with my DSLR and slideshow, let’s see how this goes…
Makeup Must Haves
- Julep Glow Highlight Powder (it sparkles!)
- The Body Shop’s Lip & Cheek Velvet Sticks, Smoky Poppy Collection
- The Body Shop’s Glitter Mascara
- Broadway Nails imPRESS nails kit
The Body Shop’s Smoky Poppy Collection
I’m in absolute love with this collection, have I mentioned that yet? The Body Shop website uses terms like euphoric and seductive to describe the Smoky Poppy scent… all I know is that the scent is almost calming in nature, and I can’t get enough of it. The bath bombs were relaxing enough to entirely de-stress (though the five year old in me was highly amused by the poppy seeds floating in the milky water.) The body scrub does as you’d think, and left a silky feeling on my skin once rinsed away. Don’t listen to me though, go to The Body Shop and check out this collection for yourself. They have testers available to try everything from their line (except maybe the bath bombs of course.)
Smoky Poppy is available for only a limited time! (affiliate link)
And here’s the nail art on Instagram!

I don’t know where to begin, you look amazing!! Love the slideshow, your hair looks beautiful, your make-up is flawless, your nails gorgeous and that bag…well I need to head to Target before that little beauty is gone! fun post, loved reading it!
Awwwwh, <3 u Monica! Thanks so much, hun! And YES, now that they're at least 30% off, Target's fun selection of bags are going quick. Its sad, I loved checking out their bags each season. We've had a Target close by for less than a year, and I've purchased five bags from them over that short time, LOL.
I loooove the nail art! It’s so pretty!
There are SO many designs to choose from, I had a hard time figuring out which design I wanted for Valentine’s lol!
I love your cute little bag there. I also think that your nails are super duper cute. I need me some pretty nails. Happy Valentine’s Day my friend!
Happy Valentine’s, hun! 🙂 Hope you and your fam had a great day!
imPRESS nails are awesome for when you need something pretty, painless and quick! ;D
This is a great round up of beauty products. I’m a little bit of a beauty junkie over here, I want to try those cheek crayons!
Those curls are great, I want the Kiss iron now 😉
I really like your nails too, whenever I do my nails it looks like a toddler did it.
The cheek crayons are awesome. They’re smooth and applies to the face easily. I feared a bit that they’d might be greasy feeling for the silky effect, but nope! 🙂
Love imPRESS press on nails, ’cause they don’t look fake, lol! And I’m with ya on the toddler look. No matter what, I end up with half the polish on my skin (once even on my clothes *facepalm*.) These ones wound up getting quite a few compliments while out and about that night.
Looks great!!! I hardly ever do my hair or makeup… 🙁 Although if this curling iron is as easy as you say, I just might do it more often! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Bonnie! 😀 The KISS InstaWave curling iron is so incredibly easy! I keep having flash-backs to those teen years where I loved having my hair curled, but was always nervous from rolling a hot iron right up to my ears, LOL. While bushing the curl button, I keep thinking, “WHY wasn’t it so simple back then, ugh!” 😉
