I’ll admit it, every time Microsoft Office releases a new version of their software package, it’s a little bit like Christmas came early. I love seeing what new innovations they have in store for productivity, and the Microsoft Office 365: 2016 edition, does not disappoint! Along with the four major products that we all know and love: Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point, Office 365 now also includes Skype, OneDrive and Sway, which are three apps to help you get all of your things done anywhere, anytime, on any device.
Office 365: All The Things To Do
If there was only one suite programs that I could choose to help me both at home and at work, Microsoft Office is definitely it. I would be entirely lost if I couldn’t use Word, Excel and OneNote to keep up with day to day work and living in general. From home to work, from desktop to web and the across all devices, Office 365 delivers the tools to get work done during the holiday season and every day.
- OneNote has saved me so much space and time! I am the Queen of Browser Tabs, but with OneNote, I’m learning to cut back some. I currently have 32 open, and that’s much less than my normal amount of 50+ (Oops!) Why do I have so many open? I keep each one open as reminders for things I need to do, and boy does it take up a lot of precious processing memory, making my browser, and ultimately my computer slow. Now though? Now, I use OneNote to clip things I need for future blog posts, and ideas to make Geek with Style a better read for everyone. It means I can move up the ranks to perhaps a Knight of Organization, where I’m not simply sitting in front of my computer, twiddling my thumbs, while I try to remember which of the 50+ tabs I wanted to work on next. I now have less tabs open, more memory to run my computer smoothly, and an organized list of notes clipped from all over the web, keeping me on track of what to do next.
- With my small business, Word and Excel tend to be two programs that I open weekly, whether I’m working on a new blog post, or am keeping up with finances, they help me shape my site.
- With 1TB of OneDrive storage available per person (for up to five users.) I have access to all of my documents, photos, music and more that can be saved on the cloud and become accessible whenever I need it.
- I can’t wait to get my hands on Publisher, as I strive to finally get those two books on blogging ready for publishing.
- And best of all, Office 365 is always up to date, including Office 2016 apps for PC and Mac, so I’m always working with the most advanced, up-to-date technology.

I wish I could have so many tabs open! My computer crashes after about 6 🙁 I’d love to try office 365 it looks so easy to use! Thank you for the printable!!
I am absolutely terrible with my desktop’s processor and RAM, lol. Not sure what kind of computer you have, but if its more recent (like quad core, or Intel iSeries, etc) you might have a conflicting browser extension taking up a lot of memory! <3
AWE! I love the Santa letter, it is so sweet. Thank you for putting an extra bit of magic in Christmas 🙂
No prob hun, happy you enjoyed! 🙂
This is really cool! I love this letter! My kids would too! I’ll have to print off a few and DELIVER them to my kids!
Thanks!
Oh that’s an awesome idea Jenn!! Kit LOVES to open my mail, I bet he’d be excited to get a letter of his own. I’m entirely running with your idea hun. <3
I love this adorable printable!! Thank you so much. I can use it to print them off and send to my nieces and nephews and even one of my kids would still enjoy this. I have been using Office 365 here too and I am getting the kids into using it to stay on top of projects. My one DD needs all the help she can get with organizing. LOL.
I’m a die-hard Microsoft Office user, have never been able to get things done with any other productivity suite! Thanks for letting me know there’s a new version on the block!
Sway looks awesome! I have Macs at home, but sway would be fun to play around with at work:)
What a great program. Thanks for the letter template, I will definitely use that one for my 5 year old, he’ll love it!
I’m still using the 2010 version. I hear a lot of great reviews of the 365. I’m thinking of upgrading, so I will look into this.
That printable is adorable. This is the first I have heard about the new Microsoft office. I will have to look it over some more and see if it is for me. I struggle with change, lol.
I have yet to upgrade to Office 365. I need the help of a technician to do it though. I am no techie person and I am scared that I’d set my computer on fire. LOL. I’ve heard a lot of good reviews about it!
I don’t think I’ve ever used Microsoft Office before, I use Open Office on my computer now, but I’d love to get this to be able to do all these fun letters and other things for my blog!
I really need to check into OneNote. I often have tons of tabs open as well as reminders for what I need to do and like you say it makes my computer run slowly or my husband will close them. OneNote would make sure I don’t lose the info I was thinking about when I left them open.
I hear you on the browser tabs! I may or may not kill a computer approximately once a year. Lol. I love OneNote and use it a lot as well. Thank you for the Santa printable! I think my kids will love it.
