Biannual Blogathon Bash

72 hours of blog, blog, blogging! Running from June 22-25, 2012, participants will be bashing out as many blog posts as possible (for me that might just be only three, as it seems to take me a day to write a post, lol!)

There will also be mini challenges, which will be an amazing collection of How-Tos to better your blog. I've bookmarked all of the challenges from the last Bash, as a reminder of what I can do to improve my site. Sure we always want to improve so that Google will like us more, but it's also a fabulous way to improve so that your readers will enjoy your site more too!

And of course, PRIZES! 😀 I do enjoy winning prizes, and the Blogathon Bash always has a great assortment of fun things to win.

If you'd like to participate, there's still time! All you have to do is sign up here.

Preparing for the Biannual Blogathon Bash

So lets start with… SZBCGZHPVFUQ

What is that code, you ask? I'll let you know when my Mini Challenge Post on the Basics of SEO goes live! Still working on it, 'cause lets face it, there's just so much information out there on SEO. Actually, SEO is a great example of TMI. The focus for this mini challenge will mostly relate to what every blog post should have for the almighty Google to enjoy your future posts.

I'll have a second Mini Challenge running on the basics of HTML as well, primarily on the specific tags you can use in your blog posts. Have you ever wanted to hand-code your images, instead of relying on Blogger or WordPress to do it for you? By hand-coding, you'll have better control of how your images are shown on your posts (centre the pic, make them bigger or smaller, etc.) Hand-code can also help you bold, italicize, underline, create tables, links to anywhere on the web, and so much more!

Well, I got to get back to those posts! Will I see you blog bashing this weekend?
