Haunted Walks | Geek Life: Augmenting Reality

Boo! It's October, which means everything gets spooky and freaky, and all kinds of creepy. It may also be Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Small Business month, but I am all over Hallowe'en this year, and have put together a Get Spooky series just for you peeps! Welcome. To start this series off, here's a list of ghost walking tours available in Toronto, to find out just how dark our much loved city can be. Available Ghost Tours of Toronto I've experienced one ghost tour here in Toronto, years ago now, and it was pretty fun. Jay and I were the only two people on the tour with the guide, so it became quite the personal trek through historical buildings of Toronto, though I'm sure these tours have become more popular since then. I haven't tried any of these more recent tours listed below yet, but would love to hear your thoughts on them if you do get a chance to go on one yourself! Haunted Walks - Toronto: This tour company also has walks for other cities as well, like Ottawa for instance. They have quite a few options to choose from, specializing in ghosts from the Distillery District and Mackenzie House. Muddy York Walking Tours: downtown Toronto and Toronto University The Toronto & Ontario Ghosts and Hauntings Research Society has a DIY Toronto Walking tour, available to download by pdf, so you can walk and visit some of the more renowned locations of Toronto simply with the help of your smartphone! Ghost Walks at Exhibition Place (some souls never leave the ex!) - available on Friday evenings only. Just might be the thing Jay and I will do to celebrate our 17th dating anniversary this year, heh, which is another reason why I love October so much! Ghost of Toronto on Pinterest I think you might be hard pressed to find an old Toronto building that doesn't have a haunt or two, particularly in the downtown core, so I'm creating a pin board of some of Toronto's more famous ghosts and locations.
